Yollie B's 24 B-day..

Well, its my birthday today.. YAY! I haven't written a blog in ages.. but today harder wrote one for me for my birthday so I thought I might as well do one. My life has been great lately. Work is going great, I finally took the plunge and moved into Customer Service and realized its not as bad as I thought it would be.. the only thing thats challenging is sales, but I think that'll come with time. As for relationships, I'm still with Paul.. of course! He's such an amazing man, I could never have dreamed of anyone more amazing. He's great! He treats me like a queen and he's my everything! My whole life I kept searching for someone and always kept finding jerks, losers, etc.. until I met him. He totally swept me off my feet and I love him more and more every day :-) I'm hoping that we can move in together within the next year or so and then.. who knows maybe one day he'll even propose to me.. hehehe. As for my friends, I've gotten a much better group of friends than I used to have. Marla isn't hanging out with my "enemies" so to speak anymore and her and I are getting along a lot better, we spend more time together and talk a lot more. And of course I'm still friends with Harder. Between him, Paul and Marla they're the 3 people I count on the most when I need someone to talk to, need advice, etc. besides my parents of course. I'd like to make special mention to Harder in my blog, since he wrote an entire blog for me and my birthday and I was so honored and excited about it! He's been such an amazing friend. In our friendship there been no drama, no backstabbing, etc.. Just friends and having a good time. Even though we get to see each other like twice a year for our birthdays.. which now seems to be a ritual, we still remain good friends.. talking on msn, corresponding through text messages, etc.. Honestly, I must get at least 20 text mesages from him in a week and then theres the prank phone calls.. These mostly happen on the weekends and theres no rhyme or reason to the time of the calls! There's been a many of times when I'm sleeping on the weekend and I don't even answer my phone cause I know its Harder pranking me.. lol. But, we've had tons of fun.. since the first time we met at the super 8 when him and Sharon came.. then my birthday a few months later that year in 2004.. then in 2005 when Paul and I went there for his birthday and Paul and I got to witness "Ricky Harder, drunk as fuck.. as Elvis pissing on a dumpster" Anyone who witnessed will never forget that event.. and when I'm bored or down I watch the video and just listen to all the craziness and fun we had that night and have a good laugh. The next time we hung out was for my birthday last year which was awesome. We did some karaokee, shopping, rubber chicken hunting, etc. One part I was happy about was Harder and Paul hanging out and going out for breakfast together, etc. I was happy to see that my best friend and boyfriend got along so well! The next time we hung out was Canada Day, 2006. A month delayed due to Harder being insane and going to Cold Lake, Alberta. This was another remarkable event. The best fireworks I've ever seen in my life that weekend and just an overall great time! So, since its my birthday and thanksgiving is a week away.. I'd like to give thanks to all my friends. To Marla for being honest with me and realizing who was her true friend. To Harder for always being there for me, listening to me, giving me advice, being a drama free friend and always giving me a good laugh, Harder is one of the best friends I've had in my life! And last, to Paul for being the most wonderful boyfriend in the world, for being there for me, caring for me, loving me unconditionally, being my best friend and boyfriend and for being my everything. Words cannot even express how much I love him! I'm so greatful to have all of these people in my life as friends! :-)

Sunday, January 1, 2006 - Year 2005 in Review

Well.. 2006 is finally here.. YAY!! and I MUST say that 2005 was a MUCH better year than 2004. To sum it up 2005 had less drama, better friendships, less lows and more highs and just an overall better year. To recap here are some of the main events that shaped my life in 2005. The year started off kinda.. blahish.. There was a major blizzard and our plan to go to Saskatoon for new years fell through. I felt horrible for ditching Harder.. driving to Paul's was scary and all we did was bum around and watch a movie.. It was better than the previous new year's but not what I had anticipated at all. January went alright, busier than hell at work, lots of overtime put in and I even applied for a team sup. position at work, I didn't get the job, but it gave me insight for the future and hope that someday I'll be able to get a promotion at work. February was pretty decent too.. celebrated Valentine's day with Paul of course and hmm ya that was about it.. March and April weren't the greatest months.. We found out my Gido (grandfather) had cancer and he under went some major surgery and was in the hospital for a long time. He finally went home sometimes in April I believe, he pretty much just lounged around and was sick a lot, he started getting worse and was finally hospitalized and a few weeks later he lost his battle and past away at the beginning of November. It was a very sad time of course, but he finally was no longer suffering and in pain. I had got the chance to visit him about 2 weeks or so before he passed away and am very happy I got the courage to do that and got to see him before he passed away. It was one of the hardest things I did, because I was scared to see him so sick, but it gives me peace to know that I got to see him. As for the rest of the year... May was alright, nothing to exciting there.. in June Paul and I went on our first road trip together and ventured to Saskatoon for Ryan's 23rd birthday.. This definetely was the funnest part of the year.. I got to meet a lot of Ryan's friends, got to see him drunk very drunk and most importantly got to see him pee on a dumpster.. probably not something everyone wants to see there friend do.. but when its Ryan.. its frickin' hilarious. July and August were alright.. there was a lot of festivities going around in Regina because of the centennial and also exhibition.. we took in a lot of different things.. the most memorable one was Canada Day and watching fireworks off the Albert St bridge. In July my sister and 2 kids came to stay with us.. it was kinda chaotic but fun, they stayed for 3 months and left in October. In August Paul celebrated his 22nd birthday were he got some kick ass presents from me of course.. In September not to much happened.. except the insane busy-ness at work started and hasn't stopped. In October Harder came down for my birthday, it kinda sucked cause I was sick and miserable, but I was a trooper and still had fun, we went out to the pump and "pumped it up" and also went and did some karaokee the next night at the crown and hand.. the highlight of the weekend was trying to find ryan a rubber chicken. Right before my birthday my Grandma passed away... and this is where all the drama from 2004 finally comes to an end. Because of the situation with my aunt we hadn't talked to my Grandma in over a year, so her passing didn't upset me at all, however it upset me that Marla was taking my aunt's side again and going to the funeral and bailing on me for my birthday. I had pretty much had enough, Marla had been constantly ditching me for her other friends for well over a year and I was sick of it, I was very close to just ending my friendship with her because I didn't like getting treated that way.. when finally it all came to an end. Marla kept calling me to go out and wasn't hanging out with her friends at all when finally she told me that her friends had just stopped talking to her.. I was happy that her friends were not talking to her as mean as that sounds, but I had finally got my friend back.. she started hanging out again with a couple of her friends, but not my aunt.. something happened apparently some back stabbing and lying and they don't talk anymore. I was so relieved that all the drama and tension was gone. I don't think I've even realized until writing about it how happy I am to finally have Marla around now and back as the friend I had had for the past 10 years. So, this definetely was a turning point in 2005, my Grandma passed away and that drama was gone, and Marla stopped being friends with my aunt and even more drama was gone.. phew...! Then in November... I celebrated my 1 year... yes ONE YEAR anniversary with Paul! It was great.. I never thought I'd date someone that long.. well I mean I didn't think someone would ever date ME that long!! haha. Then December.. Christmas was different this year, Gido wasn't around :-( and everyone came here for Christmas.. considering Christmas was pretty good because I was surrounded by lot of family I don't always get to spend Christmas with. OHHH and of course I can't forget to mention the GREATEST Christmas present EVAR.. I got a PROMISE RING from Paul.. (I still wonder where my earrings are.. hehe) I was beyond excited and just totally.. speechless!! It was the greatest gift and ahh just wonderful :-) So that sums up 2005 and to celebrate it last night Paul, Marla and I went out for supper and then went and played pool for a couple hours and then came back here and hung out with my parents, played some games and ya.. just hung out. It was a lot of fun and definetely the best New Year's I've had in a LONG time! 2005 was overall a decent year, I learnt a lot, and a few lows and a lot of highs and can't wait to see what 2006 brings!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright.. so its been a few months since I last did a blog.. ok ok.. more like 4 months, but who's counting?? I guess I've been busy and never seem to get around to writing anyways, I mean who reads this anyways? Paul and Harder.. Well, anyways.. lets see whats new with me. I just celebrated my birthday at the beginning of this month, it was pretty fun aside from being sick with a cold and Paul just getting over a cold. Harder came up here from Saskatoon and it was some great fun! We hung out, did some shopping, visited some places Harder wanted to see, like Taylor Field, the Brandt Center, Leg Building, Wascana Park, etc. We also got to have birthday cake with my family, play pool, go to the pump and pump it up and then the next night we got to do some karaokee at the crown and hand. The sucky part was me being sick so the karaokee wasn't as fun for me as it normally is. Then a few weeks later, just last weekend actually Paul and I celebrated our 11.. OMG YES, 11 MONTH anniversary.. Who would've thunk it.. me have a boyfriend for that long, I myself am shocked. So in less than a month we'll be celebrating our 1 year anniversary and I can't wait!! Can't wait to celebrate it and see what kind of presents I'll get.. hehehe. Well.. other than that not much is new.. part of the reason I've been so busy the past few months is because my sister and her 2 kids were staying with us from July 15 until October 15th and for the last month of that or so my brother in law was also staying here.. So it was a bit chatoic around here and I couldn't always get to my computer and always seemed to be busy doing something or other. I also got a new computer.. yay!! Paul built me one for my birthday and its sweet totally awesome and KICK ASS!! ya.. so I think thats about all thats been new with me.. Until next time.. ciao.

June 6, 2005 - Harder B-day Bash Recap

Oh boy.. Where do I even start??!!? What a weekend!! Paul and I arrived in Saskatoon Friday afternoon and got ourselves settled into the hotel room and then called Harder informing him of our arrival and told him that once we were finished supper and ready we'd call him back and get together to let the birthday festivities begin.. So, after we finished our supper and got ready we called Harder back and him and his friend Cara (his "potential" as he likes to call her) to come down to our hotel room... It was a great reunion for Harder and I since we haven't seen each other since last October for my birthday.. he got out of Cara's car and I was like.. HARDER!!!! and he's like.. YOLANDA!! and we were all crazy and hyper and I think both Cara and Paul were a bit scared.. muhahaha!! This was just the beginning of the craziest night evar! We went up to our hotel room and once we got up the stairs I blindfolded Harder and we dragged him into the hotel room where I put the greatest birthday hat I've ever created on his head and put the kick ass poster I made him in his hands and then let him take off the blindfold.. He very much enjoyed the poster I made him and thought the hat was great.. I then gave him the rest of his presents.. a box set I called: Ricky Harder Drunk as Fuck: "I'm Elvis Peeing on a Dumpster" which included 4 cd's of music.. the first one just nothing but songs sung by Elvis and the other 3 cd's were of songs with the word Elvis somewhere in the lyrics, included in the box set was also Elvis: The Movie. Harder really seemed to enjoy this!!! The rest of his presents were a birthday boy badge, canucks air fresheners, fridge magnets, key chain, the cowboy Troy cd (paul made that one for him) and last but not least, some pepperoni and cheese. After I gave Harder the presents we were off to start the festivities with playing some pool. The four of us had a few games of pool then trucked on over to McDonalds to visit Harder's friend Shannon for a few and check to see if she was going to join us later on at Dublin's.. after that we went on over to Dublin's and oh boy the festivities began!! Harder kept drinking rum and coke all night and I bought him a pitcher of it.. He slowly began getting drunk... I knew this was going to be an insane night.. We sang lots of karokee, danced, and had a lot of people stop by for his party. His friends Brooke and Darlene from Wal-Mart stopped by, then Shannon, then Jodi, and then Sharon.. who he didn't think was going to come and she totally surprised him. The night went on then at midnight Harder gets called up to do a "blow job" shooter and is told to bring up someone with him.. someone that he doesn't mind getting "close" to.. so theres me and 3 other girls sitting there.. and do you think the other 3 would go up on stage with him?? nooooo!!! so of course it was up to me to go on stage and embarass myself while he downed a blow job shooter between my legs.. (i'm not bitter towards the other 3 girls for this at all!!) Anyways.. after that the night just got crazier Harder did an insane song by skid row and I got some crazy pics from that.. he pretty much screamed the lyrics out, danced like a crazy mo fo and well you need to see the video clip to truly understand what I'm talking about.. the night started coming to an end and we decided to leave.. We walk out of the bar and Harder decides he needs to pee on a dumpster.. (at least he lived up to what his hat said.. "i pee on dumpsters when drunk") so he walks around the side of the bar and sure enough theres a dumpster and he makes us make a video of it.. so Paul recorded the video and I took a pic.. while Ryan kept on yelling out obscenities and yelling that he was Ricky Harder drunk as fuck and Elvis peeing on a fucking dumpster while he pissed on a dumpster. It was embarassing and hilarious at the same time.. The video tells all.. This was definetely the craziest part of the entire weekend.. After the peeing episode we went to Mac's where Harder razzed his friend Kira for a while, she was not impressed at all that we brought a very drunk Ryan to her store to visit her and I don't blame her.. After that we went back to our hotel room and hung out for a while then poor Sharon took very drunk Ryan home apparently having to drag him into his house and open the door for him.. What a trooper Sharon is!! We all got some much needed rest after a crazy night of partying it up and the next day Harder, Paul and I went and did some shopping and got Ryan's pics from Wal-Mart and then went to shop at circle mall, we then took Ryan back home and went and had a nap and got ready for another night of some partying, but this time some quiet relaxing partying. Harder, Paul and I went to play pool again and it was me against both of them. After always sucking hardcore at pool and now that I'm half decent and kinda now what I'm doing it was a confidence booster to play pool against 2 guys and do a pretty darn good job if I do say so myself. After the pool we drove around a bit and then went to Cheesetoast and just hung out and did some karaokee and then Harder's friend Melissa from work came out for a while. I even sung "I try to think about Elvis" by Patty Loveless for Harder as part of his b-day present. After that we went back to Mac's to appologize to Kira for the previous night and then went back to our hotel. We get to the hotel and Paul and Harder are telling me that someone is in the bushes by where I just parked and that they were walking and.. not a big deal until we look over and realize the car next to us has a smashed window and that the people we saw in the bushes just did it! We informed the very touched/weird front desk guy, then proceeded up to the hotel room to call the cops where we saw some people and questioned them if they owned this car and finally found the owner.. then we called the cops and then hung out to see if the cops would come, which they didn't.. so after we realized the cops weren't coming Paul and I drove Ryan back home and said our good-byes to Harder and to an insane weekend of partying it up Harder style. We got some sleep, got up Sunday morning got ready and said good-bye to Saskatoon and made our way back to Regina. Overall the weekend was great, I got to see Harder and Sharon who I haven't seen in ages and missed and got to meet a whole bunch of Harder's friends he always talks about. I got to witness the Elvis peeing on a dumpster thing live (not sure that I wanted to).. I got to do lots of karaokee which I haven't done in ages and got to do some dancing and partying it up and got to play some pool too! I also got to spend time with Paul which was soo great and he didn't even get sick of me! Well.. thats a recap of the weekend and I'd like to thank all of Harder's friends that came out to his party both nights and made this years party a heck of a lot better than his party last year!!! Howdy.. Only 8 More Days Until Saskatoon Road Trip '05: Harder's B-day Bash!! I'm soooo excited! Not only do I get to spend the entire weekend with Paul, I also get to see my best friend Ryan Harder and celebrate his birthday with him!!! YEEHAW! I think I'm most excited about giving Harder his b-day presents and seeing his reaction, I really think he's going to like what I got him! Its going to be good times.. Dublin's in Saskatoon, next Friday.. June 3rd @ 9pm!! Then on Saturday night we're apparently going to Cheesetoast.. Its going to be a rockin' karaokee good time!! I'm even going to get Paul drunk and make him do karaokee!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!! hehehehe... Well.. Only 8 days away and I can't wait!!! YAAAAY! thats about all thats going on in my life right now.. so anyways, thats all for now.. I will write a new blog after the road trip about the party!!! ciao!

Alright.. so its been a couple months since I write.. I'm not all into the blogging thing.. but Ryan has been harassing me a LOT tonight to update my blog so I'll quickly do it before I go to bed.. Not much is new with me really.. same 'ol.. work, eat, sleep, repeat.. etc. Paul and I are celebrating our 6.. YES THATS RIGHT SIX... month anniversary next weekend.. Saturday, May 21!!! YEEEEHAW.. I can't believe I've been dating him that long and on June 5th it'll be a year since we meet!! Freaking amazing I tell ya.. After all my bad luck with men and my longest relationship being like 3 months.. I can't believe I finally am in a meaningful relationship with someone I really care about and love. its GREAT!! Other than that the only other thing thats going on in my life is my road trip to saskatoon at the beginning of June for Harder's b-day partay.. I'm sooo excited.. Paul and I are going and its going to be 2 nights of hardcore partying.. I'm soooooo super excited!! and I have a birthday present surprise for Harder and I can't wait to see the look on his face when I give him his present.. 6 Month Anniversary... Road Trip.. Celebrating my best friends birthday with him.. can life get any better!! yar.. Thats all I gots.. smell ya laters. ciao.

Finally.. March is here and we're that much closer to spring. I can't wait!! yaaay! So far the temperature outside isn't that great, but it should start getting better soon. As I said in my last blog I've been reflecting again and comparing this year to last year and so far this year is looking much better and Paul and I are going to start going to church this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it, after everything I've been through in the past few years it'll be good to start going to church again and be around positive people who feel the same way I do about things and I'm hoping to get a more positive outlook on life. Not much else is new with me, Paul and I just celebrated our 3 month anniversary a couple weeks ago and on March 21st it'll be our 4 month anniversary!! My longest relationship!! yeeeeeehaw! Anyways, thats all I got.. not much else is new with me.. just been working and hanging out with Paul and Marla lately.. so ya.. Until next time.. take care ya'll.
